Nishel is captain of the Speech and Debate team, varsity tennis player, and a violinist in the school orchestra. As an editor for the Tartan Shield, she enjoys planning creative team bonding events, like the Journalism Color Olympics, to foster a supportive environment. She also leads the middle school debate program she founded, mentoring students and developing their public speaking skills. Nishel aspires to pursue microbiology in college, with a focus on medicine and research, combining her passion for advocacy and making a positive impact.
